* Share with anyone (including support)
* Store in photos/cloud
* Enter on unfamiliar websites
* Type on online devices

✅ **ALWAYS:**

* Write on paper
* Store in safe/vault
* Keep multiple backups
* Test recovery on new device

**2. Strong Passwords**

**Requirements:**

```
Length: 12+ characters
Contains:
✓ Uppercase letters
✓ Lowercase letters
✓ Numbers
✓ Special symbols
Example: Tr@d3r!2025$VEXAR
```

**Password Manager:**

* Use: 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass
* Generate unique passwords
* Never reuse across sites

**3. Transaction Verification**

**Before Approving ANY Transaction:**

```
✓ Check destination address
✓ Verify amount
✓ Confirm token type
✓ Review fee
✓ Check website URL
⚠️ If anything looks wrong: REJECT
```

#### Common Scams to Avoid

**1. Fake Support**

🚨 **Scam:**

```
DM from "VEXAR Support":
"We noticed login issues. Please verify
your wallet by entering seed phrase here:"
```

✅ **Reality:**

* VEXAR will NEVER DM first
* NEVER ask for seed phrase
* Support only via official channels

**2. Phishing Websites**

🚨 **Scam:**

```
Fake site: vexar-app.com
Real site: https://vexatrade.com
Looks identical, steals credentials
```

✅ **Protection:**

* Bookmark official site
* Check URL every time
* Look for HTTPS lock icon
* Verify SSL certificate

**3. Fake Airdrops**

🚨 **Scam:**

```
Random token appears in wallet
Website to "claim reward"
Asks for wallet approval
Drains your funds
```

✅ **Protection:**

* Ignore unknown tokens
* Never interact with suspicious tokens
* Don't visit linked websites
* Use token blacklist

**4. Malicious Token Approvals**

🚨 **Scam:**

```
Website requests unlimited approval
For token you don't recognize
Can drain wallet later
```

✅ **Protection:**

* Only approve exact amounts
* Review all approvals regularly
* Revoke unused approvals
* Use revoke.cash

#### Advanced Security

**Multi-Signature Wallets**

**What is it?**

* Requires multiple approvals for transactions
* Example: 2-of-3 signatures needed
* Great for team funds or large holdings

**Setup:**

```
1. Create using Squads Protocol
2. Add multiple signers
3. Set threshold (e.g., 2 of 3)
4. All signers must approve transactions
```

**Hardware Wallet Setup**

**Why use hardware wallet?**

* Private keys never leave device
* Physical confirmation required
* Immune to software hacks

**Ledger + Phantom:**

```
1. Connect Ledger to computer
2. Open Solana app on Ledger
3. In Phantom: Add/Connect Hardware Wallet
4. Select Ledger
5. Choose accounts to import
6. Confirm all transactions on device
```

**Session Management**

**Best Practices:**

* Disconnect after trading sessions
* Don't stay connected 24/7
* Use separate wallets for different purposes:
  * Trading wallet (active funds)
  * Storage wallet (cold storage)
  * Testing wallet (small amounts)

### Troubleshooting

#### "Wallet Won't Connect"

**Solutions:**

1. **Refresh page**

   ```
   - Ctrl+F5 (Windows)
   - Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
   ```
2. **Check wallet is unlocked**

   ```
   - Open wallet extension
   - Enter password
   - Try connecting again
   ```
3. **Clear cache**

   ```
   - Browser settings
   - Clear browsing data
   - Last hour
   - Cached images and files
   ```
4. **Try different browser**

   ```
   - Chrome recommended
   - Brave also works well
   ```

#### "Transaction Not Confirming"

**Checks:**

1. **Sufficient SOL for fees?**

   ```
   - Need ~0.00025 SOL per transaction
   - Keep at least 0.1 SOL buffer
   ```
2. **Network congestion**

   ```
   - Check Solana status
   - May take longer during congestion
   - Usually < 1 minute
   ```
3. **Transaction failed**

   ```
   - Check explorer for error
   - Common: Insufficient balance
   - Common: Slippage exceeded
   ```

#### "Lost Access to Wallet"

**If you have recovery phrase:**

```
✅ You can recover!
1. Install wallet on new device
2. Choose "Import Wallet"
3. Enter 12-word phrase
4. Set new password
5. Access restored
```

**If you lost recovery phrase:**

```
❌ Funds are lost forever
- No company can recover
- No support team can help
- No backdoor exists
This is why backup is critical!
```

#### "Wrong Network"

**Problem:** Sent USDC on Ethereum, need Solana USDC

**Solution:**

```
1. Use bridge service:
   - Portal Bridge
   - Wormhole
   - Allbridge
2. Process:
   - Connect Ethereum wallet
   - Select USDC to bridge
   - Choose Solana destination
   - Pay bridge fee (~$10-30)
   - Wait 5-15 minutes
```

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://vexar.gitbook.io/docs/wallet-setup-and-integration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
